Mastopexy / Breast ptosis

Breast ptosis is defined as the fall and unwinding of the breast.

The chest is too low and it is uninhabited in its upper part. Ptosis can exist immediately or occur after significant weight loss. Most often, however, it is after pregnancy that breast volume decreases and ptosis appears. Ptosis can be isolated or associated with breast enlargement or hypoplasia (lack of breasts) which will also be corrected at the same time of operation.

Breast ptosis is a pure aesthetic gesture when it is isolated. The operation is performed under general anesthesia and lasts about 2 hours. It requires between one and two days of hospitalization. It involves moving the nipple and areola upward, removing excess skin, and reshaping the gland. The length of the scars depends on the hypertrophy and the degree of ptosis (single vertical scar or inverted T scar).

The ideal is to continue this surgical act by sessions of LED in order to improve the quality of the scars and to avoid the formation of keloids thanks to the cold light of the LED.
