Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is an important part of our skin. Today, Laboratories can manufacture synthetically this substance, which acts to efficiently replenish and moisturize the skin.

Along with botulinum toxin, it is a revolution in aesthetic medicine and remains one of the most widely used product in this field. Its tolerance is very good and the risk of allergy very low. Its main advantage is its slow absorption and also reversibility if necessary with a specific enzyme called hyaluronidase.

There are several product ranges made with hyaluronic acid that can be used to treat the entire face or body (buttocks, calves, etc.).

Dr BENADIBA is a specialist in facial injections with hyaluronic acid and other types of fillers.

He has been teaching aesthetic medicine for more than 10 years at the Faculty of Medicine through the DUTIC Diploma (www.dutic.info).

He is the author of a practical Manual for all aesthetic physicians.

PRACTICAL MANUAL OF AESTHETIC MEDICINE

Objectives and principles of hyaluronic acid injections

In aesthetic medicine, as in classical medicine, you have to know how to Listen, Look and Understand your patient in order to identify their needs and respond to it as accurately as possible.

The fears of patients in aesthetic medicine:

  • Not to be botched ++ (too frozen, too changed, complications …)
  • Not to be in pain +
  • Not have any visible consequences (bruising, swelling, redness) ++
  • Pay the right price

TREATMENT OF DARK CIRCLES / UNDER EYE BAGS

The zone under the eye is a frequent request in aesthetic medicine. It can be either hollowed out, pigmented or swollen with a fatty pocket. The most common is a combination of the different problems listed. The use of fillers, and in particular hyaluronic acid, is useful to fill the hollowed under eye only.

Most often, dark circles are due to a deficiency in the lymphatic and microcirculatory system around the eye.

Dark circles are the colored appearance of the skin under the lower eyelids, often associated with a hollow forming furrow and/or a fatty pocket. They give a tired and aged appearance, especially in young people.

DURATION OF INTERVENTION: 20 minutes
REPETITION / DURABILITY: 1 session, to be repeated twice a year.
FINAL RESULT: immediate and optimal after 10 days

FILLING WRINKLES

The purpose of the injections is to fill in wrinkles created either by reduced muscle tone and/or skin tone. It is preferential to use absorbable products, such as Hyaluronic Acid.

Anesthesia is not necessary, however a local anesthetic can be applied to the areas to be injected 1 hour before. Normally, the use of cannulas makes the procedure painless.

DURATION OF INTERVENTION: 20 minutes
REPETITION / DURABILITY: between 6 and 12 months depending on the area and the product
FINAL RESULT: immediate

NASOLABIAL FOLD FILLERS / FURROW FILLING

This is the most frequent request and the easiest area to treat. Ideally with a cannula.

The nasolabial fold is a fibrous zone which is made up of the insertion of the radial muscles. The fibers of the radial muscles anastomose with the orbicular of the lips. The fibrous plan adheres to the skin tissues, blocks the jugal ptosis and, with age, creates the appearance of the nasolabial fold. The fear is vascular invasion, because the facial artery passes into the nasolabial fold in more than 43% of people (cadaver study), but its course is highly variable.

CLASSIFICATION

BITTERNESS FOLDS AND MARIONETTE LINES TREATMENT

Bitterness folds and Marionette lines treatments are very common after the age of 40 and become more pronounced with facial ptosis and the appearance of jowls.

It is an oblique wrinkle or fold that starts at the edge of the lips and descends towards the angulo-maxillary angle. Together, with the anterior mandibular line and the chin, they constitute an anatomical entity: the labio-chin region. This fold gives a sad, severe or even bitter aspect (bitterness folds).

The appearance of bitterness wrinkles is linked to several factors: an underlying bone loss linked to age, a loss of subcutaneous fat, sagging skin and, finally, muscular action with hypertonicity of the orbicularis muscle and DAO (Depressor Anguli Oris), which have a retracting effect on the skin, pulling the corners of the lips down.

RESTORATION OF VOLUME

During aging, the face tends to lose its volume, consequently showing a “deflated” look.

It is therefore useful to fill in the faces more fatty areas, due to fat loss.
This is the case of the cheekbones, the malar area, temples, cheeks, tip of the eyebrow.

The injection of a hyaluronic acid type product (or fat) makes it possible to:

  • Redefine the oval of the face, without lifting
  • Fill hollow cheeks
  • Restore volume to the cheekbones, temples, dark circles, jawline …
  • Rejuvenate and beautify the face without modifying the features

FILLING HOLLOW TEMPLES

This problem is more common in skinny and elongated faces and is due to the loss of the temporal muscle around the age of 40.

The face takes on a so-called “hourglass” appearance which bothers patients and accentuates the drooping of the eyebrow. It gives the face a “skeletal” look.

In practice: The plastic surgeon injects hyaluronic acid which immediately plumps up the area. The gesture is simple, and is usually done once a year.

MEDICAL RHINOPLASTY

It is possible to correct certain small defects of the nose with an injection of hyaluronic acid.

This technique is simple and widely used in the event of a defect after surgical rhinoplasty.

LIPS AUGMENTATION

As we age, the corners of the mouth start to droop and become hollow, thus accentuating the “bitterness fold” or “marionnette” lines. This is due to the slackening of the face which “drops” and the action of a muscle that pulls down the commissure.

The plastic surgeon can inject the muscle with botulinum toxin to relax it, then using hyaluronic acid, the area is injected to create more support at the corner of the mouth.

The goal: A luscious mouth in harmony with the patient.

AFTER SUMMER SKIN REPAIR

To regain a radiant complexion, it is important to deeply rehydrate your skin. Skin Boosters offer THE ideal solution to redensify the dermis and thus reduce the marks of a harsh winter.

This treatment uses micro injections of hyaluronic acid and vitamins to deeply hydrate the skin and reduce fine lines. It is a good prevention method to keep the skin looking youthful and to prevent the appearance of new wrinkles.

The ideal is to continue these aesthetic treatments with LED sessions.

SKIN BOOSTERS

This treatment revitalizes and restores the balance of the skin and lips, improves skin elasticity and creates a fresh, natural look.

This treatment makes it possible to treat all areas of the face and body by preventing the aging of young skin and restoring radiance to mature or damaged skin.

DURATION OF INTERVENTION: 20 – 30 minutes
REPETITION / DURABILITY: 2 to 3 sessions spaced one month apart, to be repeated twice a year
FINAL RESULT: at least 10 days

EAR LOBE REJUVENATION

Repair and rejuvenation of the ear lobe can be done by filling the zone with Hyaluronic Acid.

By rejuvenating the ear lobe, the possibility of frequent tearing is avoided when wearing heavy jewelry, which gradually widens the pierced hole in the lobe.

WRINKLE CORRECTION WITHOUT PAIN OR BRUISING

The Magic Needle or Cannula:

New tools help correct wrinkles painlessly and without a trace, such as Magic Needle-type cannulas.

The Magic Needle revolutionizes facial injections because one of patients main fears is pain, it does not cut the skin or the underlying tissues.

  • Speed of execution of the procedure.
  • No pain, no blood
  • Decreased risk of bruising
  • We pass under the skin through a micro puncture which closes immediately.

KALINOX or GAZ HILARANT:

For absolute comfort before injections, Dr BENADIBA is equipped with nitrous oxide gas (laughing gas), which allows you to relax during the injection.

  • Immediate recovery
  • gas without risk, even in children and pregnant women, apart from the rare contraindications
