My vision of the modern facelift:

Lifting is still scary because it is often synonymous with a very visible change, drawn face, deformed mouth …

Modern facelifts have nothing to do with the aggressive techniques of the past 20 years. They are tailored to the patient’s choices and their age.

The action is always mixed: muscle retention, skin lift, and reconstruction of fat loss, if necessary. The procedure can be performed under sedation and local anesthesia, and even on an outpatient basis.

The follow-up is simple with a return to normal life after 8-10 days. Thus the oval shape of youth is brought back and maintained for many years.

Today, we can imagine performing 3 facelifts in your life. Each time, the gesture will be adapted to your age and the aging of your face, which is why it is a lighter procedure.

There are different types of facelifts that differ according to the part of the face that concern a patient.

Each of these facelifts can be performed individually or combined with another depending on each case.

Facial lifting

For the central part of the face, it is the facelift that mainly treats the jowls, which are caused by the sagging of the muscles and sometimes mixed with unwanted fat, which can be particularly unsightly. These jowls and fat deposits modify the shape of the face, making it look more square.

The jowls are also accompanied by a pronounced marking of the nasolabial folds, which start from the wings of the nose and end at the corner of the mouth.

Cervical lift

The cervical lift treats the neck, which also suffers the effects of aging due to slackening and visible muscle cords (baleen).
The isolated neck lift is rare except in the aftermath of significant weight loss, double chin …

The temporo-frontal lifting

For the upper part of the face, which extends from the forehead to the temple area, a temporo-frontal lift is used. Its aim is to correct forehead wrinkles when they are too important and the botulinum toxin is no longer sufficient to correct them. It is rarely offered today because it requires a large scar in the hair and presents risks of asymmetry of the eyebrows and nerve damage.

Cervico-facial lifting

It is the classic facelift that corrects the face and neck in one go. It is the most frequent and the most effective lifting.

Each of these facelifts can be performed individually or combined with another depending on each case.

The Gentle Lifting Concept by Dr Benadiba

A technique that combines several small, short interventions to give a quick “youthful look” at a lower cost and lower risk. It is the association of medicine and cosmetic surgery for young patients who want to stay young!

Gentle Lifting is aimed at young or mature patients (between 35 and 50 years old) who wish to improve their facial aesthetics without having to undergo a heavy procedure (classic lifting). It corrects several signs of aging without modifying facial features. It is a combination of simple gestures, which when combined give a natural and rapid rejuvenation solution.

The advantage of this technique is that it is done under local anesthesia (+/- sedation) and only requires a few hours in the clinic (outpatient surgery). There are hardly any scars, they are hidden in the hair and are very discreet allowing for quick social recovery.

We can combine different procedures to treat the entire face:

  • Forehead and crow’s feet: Injection of Botulinum Toxin
  • Upper eyelids: Removal of excess skin and any fatty pockets
  • Temporal forceps and anterior mini-lift to tighten the cheek and / or the nasolabial fold
  • Injection of fat (lipofilling) in the cheeks, cheekbones and furrows
  • Micro-dermabrasion or laser on the upper lip to correct fine lines
  • Gentle peeling to improve skin texture

A dream facial oval: techniques that work. The relaxation of the oval of the face is a sign of the sagging of the lower part of the face, in particular the formation of jowls. Over time, the V of youth reverses and becomes the V of old age with cheekbones and ptosis of the cheekbones.
