Mastopexy / Breast ptosis

Breast ptosis is defined as the sagging and drooping of the breast tissue.

Ptosis can happen early on or occur after significant weight loss. Most often, however, it is after pregnancy that breast volume decreases and ptosis starts to appear. Ptosis can be isolated or associated with breast enlargement or hypoplasia (small breasts), which will also be corrected during the operation.

Breast ptosis is a purely aesthetic gesture when it is isolated. t involves moving the nipple and areola upwards, removing excess skin and reshaping the gland. The length of the scars depends on the hypertrophy and the degree of ptosis (single vertical scar or inverted T scar).

After the surgical act, it is recommended to follow up with LED sessions (Cold light) in order to improve the quality of the scars and to avoid the formation of keloids.
