Breast reduction

Breast hypertrophy is defined as the breast volume of a patient being too large in comparison to their morphology. This excess of volume, and therefore weight, alters the elasticity of the tissues and causes ptosis or sagging of the breasts.

Breast reduction aims to reduce pain (back, shoulder, neck) and relieve irritation problems under the breast.

After the surgical act, it is recommended to follow up with LED sessions (Cold light) in order to improve the quality of the scars and to avoid the formation of keloids.

Depending on the severity of the case, this intervention can be performed from the age of 16. Hypertrophy must be treated early to avoid irreversible strain on the back (osteoarthritis).

Breast reduction prices:

The price of a breast reduction varies according to the procedure and the type of intervention, the length of hospitalization, the fees of the surgeon and the anesthetist.

A detailed estimate will be provided during the consultation.

In France, this type of intervention is partially covered by the Social Security if at least 300 grams per breast must be removed. If less than 300 grams per breast, the procedure is considered aesthetic.
